Jammu & Kashmir: Three more militants killed in Valley, one ASI got martyred in Panthachowk encounter

Kashmir: Three more militants have been gunned down by the security forces in the valley in overnight encounter. An Assistant sub inspector of J&K police got martyred in this encounter at Panthachowk in outskirts of Srinagar district.

Three militants have been killed in this  encounter and bodies have been recovered with arms and ammunition. However identity of the the slain militants is yet to be ascertained. The operation was halted due to darkness and was resumed back after the first ray of light striked.

During intial exchange of firing one ASI of J&K police identified as Babu Ram got martyred. This year 153 militants have been killed so far, taking the total number of militants killed in year 2019. 

Earlier, three bike-borne militants had attacked a joint team of police and CRPF near Panthachowk where no damage was done. Soon after the attack, the fleeing militants were engaged in a gunfight with security forces in nearby area.
