10 SFURTI clusters with project outlay of Rs 24.45 crores sanctioned for J&K, aimed for regeneration, revival of handicrafts & beekeeping

Srinagar: A meeting of SFURTI Monitoring Committee, Purchase Committee was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB, Dr Hina Bhat at Sanat Ghar Bemina Srinagar on Friday.

Jammu based officers bas well ad stakeholders also joined the meeting through e-platform.

So far, 10 SFURTI clusters with project outlay of Rs 24.45 crores have been sanctioned for UT of J&K aimed for regeneration and revival of traditional industries like handicrafts, beekeeping etc.

It was informed that CFC building of three beekeeping clusters are coming up at Samba, Doda and Ramban by June, 2021. It was also informed that CFCs of two handicrafts based clusters and one beekeeping cluster are being established in Kashmir region too and funds for these clusters shall be sanctioned in coming days.

Vice Chairperson asked the implementing agencies to work with zest and zeal and ensure that the benefits of the scheme are percolated among target population and downtrodden strata of people.

It was decided that the spade work for implementation of Kishtwar Essential Oils shall be initiated as the ministry of MSME (GOI) has already released funds for establishment of the said cluster.

It was further decided that the clusters being established in various areas of J-K shall be geo-tagged. Vice Chairperson stressed upon the stakeholders to ensure establishment of these clusters strictly as per timelines fixed.
